A strong transmission system helps keep power reliable, especially as our region grows and electricity needs increase. It also helps connect customers to more energy sources, including renewable energy like wind, solar and hydroelectric power. Just like highways need improvements when traffic increases, transmission lines sometimes need to be upgraded or expanded so electricity can keep flowing safely, efficiently and reliably for customers today and in the future.
