Budget billing evens out your bill over 12 months and makes your payments more predictable.
All residential and small business customers are eligible for budget billing. You can even sign-up if you’re on a payment agreement for a past due balance.
We’ll take the average of your electricity use over the last 12 months to set your budget amount. If you lived in your home fewer than 6 months, give us a call and say "budget billing" when prompted so we can calculate your budget.
Once you’re enrolled, your budget amount may change every 3 months to stay consistent with your energy use.
After 12 months of budget billing, we’ll settle the difference between your actual energy use and the amount you were billed. If you used more, we’ll bill you the difference. If you used less, we’ll credit your account.
