PPL Electric Utilities

Strengthening reliability and resiliency

PPL Electric Utilities is planning to build approximately 6.9 miles of a new 138 kV transmission line and two new substations in Lancaster County to help strengthen the electric grid, provide additional capacity on the system to support growing electric demand and help maintain reliable service for customers throughout the region.

Why the Project is Needed

This project is designed to strengthen the reliability and resiliency of the transmission system for all customers. By creating additional pathways for electricity delivery, we’re ensuring customers have dependable service while meeting the growing demand for power in this area.
